Winter Storm Warning:
A Winter storm warning remains in effect from 6 pm this evening to 6 pm cst Monday.
Timing: Areas of freezing drizzle will be possible this evening across parts of northwest Oklahoma. The snow will begin spreading across the area from late tonight and continue through the day Monday. Main impact: Freezing drizzle may cause some slick roads this evening in northwest Oklahoma. Otherwise, snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are likely with a few bands of heavier snow totaling 6 to 8 inches possible in parts of northern Oklahoma. This will have significant impacts on travel and commerce. Surface temperatures just above freezing may slow rate of snow accumulations over north central and west central Oklahoma.
Other impacts: Northerly winds will increase on Monday, leading to blowing and drifting of snow.
Precautionary/preparedness actions, A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow are expected. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
Check road conditions before getting out.
